The homeless population in Orange County continues to grow at an alarming rate. In one night in January, 2015, a point-in-time count tallied 4,452 homeless people in Orange County. Using that data, it is estimated that 15,300 people are homeless at least one night during the year. has grown since the last official check two years ago, according to results from the 2015 biennial homeless census. These numbers are significantly higher than the numbers recorded in the 2013 census.
