A Message Of Gratitude
At Volunteer Network OC, we realize what a challenging year 2020 has been. The amazing thing is that through it all, the spirit of helping others remained stronger than ever.
We saw an increase in volunteers throughout the whole year. Although physical events were few, nonprofit organizations, churches and others, were so creative with ways to help the homeless and people in need. In some cases hosting drive-thru events. Qoheleth Ministries, was one of these organizations hosting a drive-thru event (Feeding The Hungry) once a month to families and others in need of groceries and other necessities.
As the Director of Operations, I participated in some of these events, along with our CEO, Bill Cates and several members of our board. We worked alongside volunteers who had found the events on our free app and with one click, were signed up to help. We are so grateful when we can meet our volunteers and thank them in person.
It has been a challenge this entire year, but kindness and empathy never waivered. In fact, it seemed to be stronger than ever.
We look forward to new beginnings in 2021. Thank you so much to all of our nonprofit organizations. Thank you to all of our volunteers. We hope to see you in person in 2021.
Lastly, we hope you will consider us as you offer your year end donations. We rely on you to help us make a difference in our communities. Together we can! Onward we go to 2021. Wishing you all a healthy, happy new year. Cheers!!
